John J. Hagenbuch: Top
Chairman of the Board
Mr. Hagenbuch is co-founder and Chairman of M&H Realty Partners, which is a real estate opportunity fund business that manages money for institutional investors. Prior to forming M&H in 1993, Mr. Hagenbuch was a General Partner of Hellman & Friedman, which is a private firm that initially provided strategic investment banking and financial advisory services to a number of large, public corporations and then later raised and managed several private equity funds. Before joining Hellman & Friedman as its third partner in 1985, Mr. Hagenbuch spent nearly seven years at Salomon Brothers as a generalist investment banker. Mr. Hagenbuch is also an active private equity investor and has served on the boards of a number of public and private companies, as well as not-for-profit organizations.

Mr. Hagenbuch received his AB degree from Princeton University and his MBA degree from Stanford University.

H. Raymond Cairncross: Top
Director
Mr. Cairncross has over 25 years of experience as a founder, Chairman, CEO, director of and counsel to high-tech and other companies. Ray formed the Seattle law firm of Cairncross & Hempelmann, specializing in business planning, corporate finance, and commercial transactions. As the firm's only Managing Partner, he developed and maintained a full practice focused on business planning, strategy, major commercial transactions, and financings. His first role as a founder was for Horizon Airlines where he was General Counsel and business strategist, negotiating the acquisition of Air Oregon and Cascade Airlines, leading to the sale of Horizon to Alaska Airlines.

Utilizing his legal and business expertise, Ray founded several high-tech companies including Ostex International, Inc., where he served as Chairman and CEO. The Seattle biotechnology company was based upon an innovative technology transfer arrangement with the University of Washington. He successfully negotiated complex domestic and international licensing and partnership arrangements, and equity and non-dilutive financings, taking Ostex public in the mid 1990's. Ray co-founded Omeros Medical Systems, Inc., a company with a successful pharmaceutical platform technology that delivers analgesic, anti-inflammatory, anti-spasm and/or anti-restenosis agents directly to the surgical site during arthroscopic, urologic, cardiovascular and general surgical procedures. As with Ostex, Omeros has developed strong intellectual property position and patent portfolio, along with an effective regulatory strategy. Ray co-founded Onconome, Inc. (formerly Tessera, Inc.) in 2001, has been its C.E.O. since 2003.

Ray received his BA degree from Stanford University and his JD degree from the University of Washington.

J. Carter McNabb: Top
Director
Mr. McNabb is a Managing Director at River Cities Capital Funds where he leads the firm's healthcare investing practice. River Cities manages approximately $300MM across three venture funds focused primarily on companies in the healthcare and IT sectors. Previously, Carter worked in business development for a private-equity financed home healthcare company acquired by Integrated Health Services in 1997. As the 1998 recipient of the Bradford Fellowship for achievements in corporate finance, Carter worked in equity research at J.C. Bradford & Co. while attending business school at Vanderbilt. Carter concentrates on healthcare services and medical technology investments for River Cities. Exited investments include CMHC Systems and Suros Surgical Systems. Carter currently serves on the board of Health Integrated, Inspiris, National Medical Solutions, PerfectServe and Micronics.

Carter received his BA in Classical Greek and Latin Studies from Trinity College (CT) and his MBA in Finance from the Owen School at Vanderbilt University.

Kenneth A. Keller: Top
Director
Mr. Keller has extensive executive and financial management experience spanning nearly 35 years. He currently serves as Vice President of Kirlan Venture Capital, Inc., which is the general partner of two very successful venture capital funds that have invested in over 40 portfolio companies since being founded in 1992. Ken serves on the board of directors of three of the firms portfolio companies and as an observer on several other boards. He formerly served as Chairman and CEO of B & B Industries, Inc. and as CEO / Director and major shareholder of Mamco Manufacturing, Inc., a premier aerospace manufacturing company. Previously he was Chief Financial Officer of Security Properties, Inc., a commercial real estate investment and property management company with offices nationwide. He began his business career in public accounting, serving eight years with the Portland, Oregon office of KPMG, LLC. 

Ken has a Bachelors degree from Western Oregon University, an MBA degree from the University of Oregon and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Gregory A. Demopulos, MD: Top
Director
Dr. Demopulos is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Omeros Corporation, a Redmond-based biotechnology company advancing a pipeline of pharmaceutical and drug delivery products for use in orthopedics, urology, cardiovascular medicine and general surgery that provide preventive and restorative treatments directly to the site of tissue injury. An orthopedic surgeon with specialized training in hand and microvascular surgery, Greg completed his residency at Stanford and his fellowship training at Duke University. The recipient of numerous academic awards and honors, Greg left academic medicine to found Omeros in June 1994. He holds 18 patents in the life sciences with more than 50 additional patent applications currently pending.
